Schema

Today in class, we discussed SCHEMA.  We read the story, It Looked Like Spilt Milk, observing the various shapes of "clouds" and discussed how if we've ever seen a picture in the clouds, and tried to show it to someone, they just couldn't see what we were seeing.  This is because each person has their own schema. Our past experiences help to shape and mold who we are, and how we "see" things.  After talking, each student received a picture with a squiggly line in the middle.  Based on their schema, they were instructed to draw what they saw.  We got some really great interpretations!
